Milan: auction for Essien. Juve: Balotelli unlikely to join
After another deceiving performance of his team, AC Milan honorary president and major shareholder Silvio Berlusconi is extremely upset, and, as reported by La Repubblica, the former Italian Prime Minister has decided to sell the club, but this latter, through its official website, has denied such possibility. In the mid time, the rossoneri are trying to reinforce their team, especially regarding their defense: according to Sky Sport, considering the difficulties to obtain Fiorentina 31-year-old Manuel Pasqual and Atletico Madrid 28-year-old Guilherme Siqueira, have asked Udinese for 19-year-old left back Douglas Santos, currently on loan at Atletico Mineiro; Milan also need a center back, and have made an attempt for Catania 31-year-old Nicolas Spolli, also tracked by Sampdoria. In any case, the rossoneri must reduce thei salary cap, and one of the main candidates to leave “San Siro” is 32-year-old midfielder Michael Essien: the Ghana international is tracked –as outlined by Sportmediaset- by West Bromwich Albion, but the former Chelsea player –according to gazzetta.it- would prefer a transfer to the MLS, where he is a target for Dallas. Juventus keep on seeking a center forward, and, as previously reported, an option could be Liverpool 24-year-old Mario Balotelli: as reported by the Corriere della Sera, the Italy international has been offered again by his agent Mino Raiola to the bianconeri, but these latters have refused.
