Juventus: messages from Llorente and Astori. Inter Milan: Sneijder toward Liverpool?
Juventus keep on seeking a new striker, and 27 year old Fernando Llorente, whose contract with Athletic Bilbao will expire in June 2013 has confirmed, as reported by Tuttosport, that he will leave the Basque club; the Spain international has declared that it’s all in his agents’hand, but it’s well known that he has already agreed with the Piedmontese club’s General Manager Giuseppe Marotta to join the bianconeri at the end of the season. According to the same media, the Serie A defending champions are also keen on Barcelona 24 year old winger Alexis Sanchez: Juve coach Antonio Conte, as sublined by calciomercato.com, seems to prefer the former Udinese player to Arsenal 23 year old Theo Walcott. Regarding the defense, still as reported by Tuttosport, Cagliari 25 year old Davide Astori has confirmed to be tracked by the bianconeri, but that he will evaluate his suation with the Sardinian club as also other teams are interested. For what concerns the possible departures, Pescara president Daniele Sebastiani has confirmed to Tuttojuve to be interested in the Piedmontese team midfielder Simone Padoin.
28 year old attacking midfielder Wesley Sneijder has declared yesterday to De Telegraaf to that leaving Inter Milan would be the best solution for everybody, but the Holland international has also said that, on the contrary, he will honour his contract with the nerazzurri, so, as sublined by the Corriere della Sera, the situation between the Dutchman and the Lombard club is still not so clear, even if Liverpool, according to La Gazzetta Sportiva, are already in talks with the former Real Madrid player. Regarding the possible new signings, 35 year old striker Tommaso Rocchi, actually at Lazio, could join, according to transfer market expert Alfredo Pedullà, next Wednesday, while Corinthians vice-president Monteiro Alves has declared that he hopes to keep 24 year old midfielder Paulinho until the end of the Copa Libertadores.
