    Juventus’ Christmas Shopping List revealed

    • Lorenzo Bettoni (@lorebetto)
Juventus chased an attacking midfielder last summer with Mario Goetze, Julian Draxler and Isco who have been on Giuseppe Marotta wish-list for long time.

The Old Lady’s CEO decided to invest on Hernanes and Mario Lemina instead with the duo who have struggled to live up to expectations at the stadium this term.

Despite their poor performances, both players are not set to leave Turin in January, though the Bianconeri will try to sign a top-class central midfielder.

But who will join the Stadium and who’s set for Juventus exit in the next 30 days?
Let’s try to find it out together.

WHO CAN LEAVE – Martin Caceres will leave the club in January. The Uruguay International defender was suspended after being involved in drunk-driving car accident at the beginning of the season.

Milan and Liverpool have been linked with the former Barcelona right-back.

As previously reported,  Gianluigi Buffon’s back up Neto is not happy at the club due to lack of playing time.

He would like to leave the club in January, but the Old Lady doesn’t want to lose him until she signs a new goalkeeper, but with Alisson who has allegedly turned down the Bianconeri to join Roma, Neto Juventus January exit seems highly unlikely at the moment.

Simone Zaza could also leave in case Ezequiel Lavezzi will join the Stadium, but both scenarios are not plausible right now as the Argentina International is more likely to leave PSG in June as a free agent and Juventus are not the only team interested in the player’s services.

NEW SIGNINGS -   Giuseppe Marotta denied that Juve are chasing a new central defender this morning.

“We can count on senior Italy national team defense as well as on the best Italian prospect [Daniele Rugani]”, the club’s CEO told Radio Anch’io Lo Sport.

“The January one is a campaign for reparations and we have nothing to repair”, he added.

Despite Marotta’s words, there is little doubt that Juve need a quality central midfielder who can give some rest to regular starters Paul Pogba, Claudio Marchisio and Sami Khedira.

Lot of players are on the Old Lady’s target, starting from Borussia Dortumnd’s star Ilkay Gundogan, though his Signal Iduna Park exit seems out of question at the moment.

Marotta is trying to find economic agreement with PSG wantaway Adrien Rabiot, while the club is still interested in AS Monaco’s stars Joao Moutinho and Bernardo Silva, with the latter who can play both as attacking winger or midfielder.

The likes of Axel Witsel and Roberto Soriano have been linked with a Stadium move too, though they are not among the club's priorities.

Corinthians’ hopeful Matheus Pereira could be an interesting option as well as the 17-year-old Brazilian left-footed can be deployed as attacking midfielder, inside-left or inside-right.

According to Alfredo Pedullà, the player's price-tag is € 3 million, but Juve can only sign him from next season as Pereira will turn 18 on the 25th February 2016.
