Juventus back in the race for Cavani as Higuain moves towards PSG

Higuain’s refusal t extend his contract with Napoli could be the beginning of a domino effect in the transfer market with the best strikers involved. There are not too many clubs that can put Higuain’s release clause on the table (€ 94.7 million), but PSG are definitely one of those clubs that have the economic potential to sustain this kind of investment.

It will be very difficult to see the French side offering the whole release fee, though they might present a mega offer in the region of € 65-70 million.

The possible arrival of Higuain at the Stade de Princes would mean Edinson Cavani might move towards the club’s exit door in the summer transfer window.

The Uruguay International is Massimiliano Allegri’s priority for the attack. The Italian tactician has requested the Old Lady to do everything possible to sign him before making offers for any other player.

Allegri wants a top player to replace Alvaro Morata and with Michy Batshauyi who has been just signed by Chelsea, the interest of PSG for Higuain could push the Old Lady to make a new attempt for Cavani.

The former Napoli star has yet to put pen to paper on a new contract with the Parc des Princes outfit and has agreed to move to Juventus who would offer the player a four-year deal. Juventus could offer € 45 million to seal the player’s transfer.
