Juventus, Allegri: ‘Marchisio could play against Sampdoria’

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri held a pre-match press conference on Tuesday evening ahead of the mid-week Serie A clash.

Here’s what the Italian tactician told media: “Marchisio, Rugani and Asamoah will be called for tomorrow’s game. One or two of them could play. I’d be glad if Marchisio can play half of the games from now until December. We should avoid a relapse, so we have to manage him well.”

Mandzukic and Higuain will start the game. Alex Sandro also played well in attack during trainings.”

Pjaca needs to undergo one more medical test. He’s not going to return before the International break. Higuain’s doing well. He’s scored seven goals so far.”

“It would have been impossible to win all the first nine games and even if we would, we still wouldn’t have won the league. We have to go on, we are defending well, but we can still improve. Results are all that matters and the team is getting those results.”

Chiellini has recovered, I have more doubts in midfield.”

“We have to be balanced and remain calm. Criticisms are accepted, but we’re walking down a very positive path.”
