Juventus’ 2016-17 campaign starts today: which players are under examination and who could arrive this summer?

Juventus’ 2016-17 campaign starts today. Massimiliano Allegri will join his lads today in Vinovo where the first part of the summer training camp will take place.

“Today we start our path with enthusiasm. We are all concentrated on the present to celebrate again in the future”, the bianconeri boss has said through his official Twitter account.
The number one objective for the summer will be to make a physical preparation which would lead to less muscle injuries during the next campaign. Juventus suffered over 60 injuries linkable with muscle problems last term and Massimiliano Allegri wants to lower the number of casualties in the 2016-17 campaign.

Alex Sandro, Asamoah, Cerri, Coccolo, Del Favero, Donis, Dybala, Hernanes, Kastanos, Lemina, Lirola, Loria, Macek, Mandragora, Marrone, Mattiello, Neto, Padovan, Parodi, Pereyra, Pinsoglio, Pjanic, Rosseti, Rugani, Severin, Thiam, Untersee, Vitale, Vogliacco  will begin the season today.

Italy National team members will join the group in a few days time, like all the other players who are still playing with their National teams at EURO 2016. Also those players who have played the Copa America are still on holiday and will join the team afterwards.

Allegri will keep a close eye on Rolando Madragora (pictured below) and Luca Marrone. The latter spent the last season on loan at Verona. One of them could stay at the J Stadium for the next season as each Serie A club will have to register at least four Italian players and four players raised in the team’s academy from the 2016-17 campaign.

With Claudio Marchisio who will only return in November and Sami Kheidra who tents to get injured more than the average, Allegri is looking for a new midfielder and the name of Lucas Biglia has recently been linked with the Old Lady.

Stefano Sturaro, Kwadwo Asamoah, Roberto Pereyra and Mario Lemina can leave for the right offer, whilst Medhi Benatia is almost a done deal. The Morocco International will join the J Stadium on a loan deal with option to buy.  Massimiliano Allegri wants a top striker too as a replacement of Alvaro Morata. Edinson Cavani and Alexi Sanchez top the manager’s wish-list.
