Juve-Witsel, Zenit want 10 million. Everton, Barcelona and China are also interested

Axel Witsel remains to be one of Juve's main targets but they have to first find an agreement with Zenit for him. The good news is that the Russian club are now ready to negotiate a deal for the Belgian midfielder as they have already signed Hernani (but he isn't considered to be Witsel's replacement). Zenit want 10 million euros (with bonuses) for him where as Juve's offer is still at around 6 million euros plus bonuses. Zenit will need time to sign a replacement too so they will hope that a deal can be reached soon.

CURRENT COMPETITION - Juve aren't the only ones after Witsel as Everton also have strong interest in him. Everton offered Zenit 15 million euros and offered the player a big salary but again, Wistel turned them down (lke he did during the summer). Then there is also the interest from China as Villas-Boas' Shanghai SIPG offered 25 million euros for him and offered Witsel a 12 million euros per season salary. Again, the Belgian midfielder said no as he wants to play for Juventus.

FUTURE COMPETITION - According to Calciomercato.com sources, Barcelona would be willing to offer Witsel a higher salary than Juve if he is to become a free-agent next summer. Juve and Wistel are getting closer but Marotta's club will have to find a deal soon with Zenit as Barcelona will want to pounce on him if he is to become a free agent.
