With Juventus vs. Fiorentina just round the corner, former Viola goalkeeper Neto might feel some little regret for leaving the Stadio Artemio Franchi as a free agent last summer to become Gianluigi Buffon’s second choice at the Stadium.

As previously reported, the 26-year-old shot-stopper is not happy at his new club due to predictable lack of playing time. Gianluigi Buffon is blazing a trail on his 14th successive season at the club, with the 37-year-old goalkeeper who looks stronger than ever and doesn’t want to retire before the next World Cup that will be held in Russia in 2018.

Due to Buffon’s stunning performances, Neto could only play one Serie A game allowing Frosinone’s late equalizer at the beginning of the season.

Despite Neto’s desire Juve are not eager to sell or loan the player in January as the club have other transfer priorities for the upcoming transfer window.

With the Old Lady closing in on a deal for Internacional’s goalkeeper Alisson, the Italia club could let Neto depart only from next season.

The player’s price-tag is believed to be in the region of € 10 million, although Juventus could also decide to loan him for one year. Roma, Atletico Madrid and Liverpool are all looking for a goalkeeper, but it seems that they’ll have to wait until next June to sign Neto.
