Juve, change of game?
After to KO against Sporting Lisbon, Juventus has returned to work at Philadelphia to prepare for the next friendly against Club America. The KO against the Portuguese, more ahead in their training, was useful to Conte to see his 4-2-4 in action, but the experiment was not very convincing. Juve is under construction, they have plenty of time to work and the market has still to give them an attacker, a left winger and a strong central defender. It is still to be understood if Conte 4-2-4 is the right choice, or if perhaps a 4-3-3 is better.
Neither Marchisio, nor Quagliarella seem right to play in that role. They are fully available, but in that position they will limit their potential. Pirlo in the midfield is an added value but he shouldn't be too involved in a defensive phase, especially if Vidal is at his side. Krasic is lethal when he plays one-to-one, a module with three midfielders could give Juve more balance and could allow the Serbian player to focus on the attack. Conte doesn't seem to change his ideas and he's continuing along his path. His success with Bari and Siena show that his game works. Will it be the case at Juventus?
