Juve on Christensen, the new Agger

Juve on Christensen, the new Agger

Juventus are always thinking about the future. Marotta and Paratici know that Buffon, Chiellini, Bonucci and Barzagli represent reliability at club and international level, but they also know that they won’t be around forever. The confirmation of Rugani this season was perfect timing and a signpost to the future but the bianconeri need more and the search has taken them outside of Italy.

    CHELSEA WANT €20 MILLION
One of the players under scrutiny is Andreas Christensen, a promising Danish defender who has a style of play and physicality similar to Daniel Agger, formerly of Liverpool currently at Brondby. The property of Chelsea, for the past two years Christensen has been on loan to the Borussia Monchengladbach, where he took part in the Champions League and faced Juventus on two occasions. The smart money however, is on the Dane remaining in Germany on a permanent basis, as reported recently by Bild. The Germans are in fact working to retain him with the Premier League club believed to want €20 million euros for the player, a fee that could convince Chelsea to part with the 20-year-old.
