Bad news for Juventus today after it was confirmed that defender Giorgio Chiellini will be sidelined once again after picking up a thigh injury in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Napoli.
 

The 32-year-old has only just returned to the starting XI and scored a brace in last week’s 4-1 win over Sampdoria. Having limped off at the J Stadium on Saturday night, the club’s worst fears were realised this morning when tests revealed that he had muscle damage in his right thigh and that he wouldn’t be back in action until after the international break.
 

This will also come as a blow to Italy boss Giampiero Ventura however the Azzurri will be expected to breeze past Liechtenstein in their World Cup qualifier in Vaduz on November 12. Chiellini could return for the home clash against Pescara on November 19 but more likely, he will be saved for the trip to Genoa a week later.
