West Ham: not only Napoli on Zaza, a challenge from Spain
If Simone Zaza is to leave West Ham United in January then his destination remains uncertain. Recent reports have linked the 25-year-old striker with a return to Serie A at Napoli with Milan also still believed to be monitoring the situation. Now there are reports from Spain that Valencia coach Cesare Prandelli wants to be reunited with the player he gave a debut to when he was coach of the Italian national team.
Zaza joined the Hammers on-loan in the summer from the Italian champions for £2 million with a clause inserted that when the player reached 10 appearances, the Premier League side would then be forced to pay Juve a further £17 million to take full ownership. Zaza currently sits on nine (as he remained an unused substitute last weekend in the 1-1 draw against Stoke City) and has yet to get off the mark for his new club.
