Juve, Lichtsteiner future in doubt, idea of Mayke from Cruzeiro

Stephan Lichtsteiner’s future at Juventus is in doubt and the bianconeri now seek alternatives. With Sassuolo defender Sime Vrsaljko seemingly heading for Atletico Madrid and both Widmer and Darmian looking increasingly distant, the champions now turn their attentions to Brazil.

    LOW COST OPERATION
The player in question is 23-year-old Cruzeiro defender Mayke, currently valued at around €10 million by the Brazilian club and a player that has been on the bianconeri radar for quite a while now. The players representatives are thought to be searching for a solution in Europe to further his career and Juve are the chief protagonists in this situation. Both Marotta and Paratici have been looking for a solution should the Swiss international seek pastures new this summer and Mayke (or Mayke Rocha de Oliveira to give his full name) has a contract that will expire in December 2016 with the player making loud noises about wanting to leave his homeland. Juventus are plotting to get their man for an outlay of just €2 million who would take one of the two non-EU places allowed in the squad.
