Report: Juve prepared to make a loss from the Prophet
A first refusal was not enough; Besiktas are ready to return with another offer for Juve’s Brazilian midfielder Hernanes. During the past few weeks the 31-year-old has been contacted by the Turkish club with a strong economic offer and a chance to be one of the key players at the club next season. It wasn’t however, enough to convince the player to leave Turin, an idea not shared by his current employers, who are looking for a quick summer sale.
THE PROPHET FOR SALE
Hernanes is for sale in fact, he’s more for sale than any of the current bianconeri squad. The player known as “The Prophet” is surplus to requirements in Turin just like Pereyra and Lemina. Bayer Leverkusen and Benfica have also seen their advances blocked by a player who earns in excess of €3 million a season in Turin with a contract that still has two years left to run. An offer from Besiktas of €8 million would gladly be accepted by bianconeri executives who originally paid €11 to Inter to bring the Brazilian to Turin; they may even consider €6.5 million plus bonus to off-load Hernanes and the next few days now look to be decisive in deciding the future of “The Prophet”.
