JUST IN: Inter want to pip the competition to Banega

Inter aren't just chasing Eder at the moment. On the day that the Nerazzurri finally said goodbye to the Fredy Guarin experience, Milan's blue half is also working on bringing in a player or two to beef up its struggling squad.

At the moment, the Italo-German is actually trending downwards... with Ever Banega taking his place at the top. The Argentine midfielder's deal with Sevilla runs out at the end of the season.

CM.COM recently broke the news that Inter were interested in the 27-year-old, though he wants to be paid €3 million a year. He is currently on a €2.2m-a-year deal.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Beneamata isn't matching his salary requests at the moment, but is trying to satisfy him in order to pip the competition. Banega has long been linked to Juventus and Milan in particular. Included in the plan would be a kicker to Sevilla, to provide the La Liga club with an incentive to part with a top midfielder.
