JUST IN Inter Ultras leave threatening banner outside Icardi's house
This week's war of nerves with the striker seemed to have reached boiling point today, when the Rosario native was roundly booed by his fans before missing a penalty, as well as insulted by a banner affixed at the stadium.
Icardi is in trouble with the hardcore element of the Curva Nord for attacking the Ultras in his autobiography, which was published this week.
The Argentine was particularly lambasted for recounting an occasion in which he stood up to one of the Ultra leaders, as well as this inflammatory passage, which he has since apologized for:
‘I am ready to face them one by one. How many are there? 50, 100, 200? OK, record my message and let him listen: I’ll bring 100 criminals from Argentina who’ll kill them where they stand, then we’ll see.’
