The future of 37 year old forward Alessandro Del Piero, free agent since his contract with Juventus has expired, remains uncertain: yesterday the former Italy national seemed about to sign for Sion, but today Sydney FC executives have arrived in Turin to talk with the player, and the Swiss club’s president Christian Constantin has declared to TJ that he is quite pessimistic about the possibility to sign the former Juventus star, and that his doubts don’t depend from financial reasons. At the end of the meeting with the Australian executives, no agreement has been found between the two parties, as reported by Italian press agency Ansa. According to the latest rumours, Del Piero could finally move to Olympiacos, and his brother and agent Syefano has confirmed the contacts with the Greek club.

 

Two great strikes on the transfer market have been set tonigjt by Zenit St. Petersburg: 23 year old Belgian midfielder Axel Witsel, arriving from Benfica, and 26 year old Brazilian striker Hulk, arriving from FC Porto, have joined the Russian club. Both players have signed a five year deal, and have been paid about 90 million euros. Both players were tracked by many European major clubs, including Real Madrid and Chelsea.
