Inter: update on Vanaken. AC Milan: Mexes could renew
Inter Milan keep on tracking some young players, and one of them, as reported in the last days, is Lokeren 22-year-old attacking midfielder Hans Vanaken; interviewed by calciomercato.com, Evert Maeschalck, agent of the Belgium international, has declared that for the moment he has not talked with the nerazzurri about his client, even if he has also heard about their interest; Maeschalck has also stated that many clubs are observing the player, but that he thinks that the Flemish club doesn’t want to let him go, even if in football everything can happen. The priority for the Lombard club remains reinforcing its team’s flank, and –as reported by the Corriere dello Sport- in addition to Atletico Madrid 27-year-old Alessio Cerci, are also interested in Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk 25-year-old Evgen Konoplyanka, whom its new coach Roberto Mancini will have a chance to observe tomorrow. Finally, regarding the possible departures, Real Madrid –according to Tuttosport- are keen on 20-year-old midfielder Mateo Kovacic: the nerazzurri don’t seem intentioned to sell the Croatia international, but could change their mind if they would receive an important offer. Meanwhile, city rivals AC Milan are evaluating the situation of their center back Philippe Mexes, whose contract is about to expire: according to Leggo, the rossoneri are thinking about extending the Frenchman’s deal, while the player is ready to reduce his salary to remain at “San Siro”.
