Exclusive: Meeting between Thohir and Zhang over De Boer's future
The duo have been discussing about the future of Frank De Boer. The manager’s position will be considered throughout the day and a final decision on the manager’s future could be taken at the end of tonight’s game.
11.45 AM- The future of Frank De Boer is up in the air. After six defeats in the opening 12 games of the season, the Dutch boss is on the brink of sacking and the club’s president Erick Thohir has just landed in Milan to take a decision over the manager’s future.
Zhang Jindong’s son Steven also landed in Milan yesterday to attend Friday’s shareholders meeting alongside Thohir.
If De Boer fails to win against Torino tonight, the duo could decide to sack the manager even before Friday’s meeting that is also going to be attended by powerful players’ agent Kia Joorabchian.
The British-Iranian agent had suggested Frank De Boer for the Inter job last August and is proposing Guud Hiddink to replace the Dutchman now.
Inter, however, are said to have already made contact with former PSG boss and Inter player Laurent Blanc who is believed to top the nerazzurri’s wish-list is De Boer is sacked.
