Inter: The final call for Ljajic
The fact remains that in summer he was brought to the San Siro by Sporting Director Fassone as a gift to Mancini, after the club failed to land Eder. When the Italian striker did arrive in January on far more favourable loan terms than the Serbian play-maker, the writing was already on the wall. It seems that the decision makers at Inter have already decided, Ljajic should head back to the capital at the end of the current campaign; yet there is still some who feel that his future could be with the nerazzurri, even if they miss out on Champions League qualification.
Ljajic has actually been an asset to Mancini’s team, when he has played; the trouble is that like last weekend in Frosinone, the Italian tactician favours Jovetic and it’s been like this over the past month. This weekend’s game against Napoli is now seen as key not only in the clubs quest to finish in a top three position, but to see who Mancini is prepared to place his trust in moving forward. It could well become the game that determines the future of Adem Ljajic.
