Today could be a decisive day as to the situation regarding the bench at Inter next season. After the exchange between President Thohir and Mancini, there will now be what in effect could be called a summit meeting with DS Ausilio and representatives of new owners the Suning Group, to discuss how to move forward.
 

In one way or another, today will map out the future of coach Mancini. He will either renew his current deal which expires in 12 months’ time, or resign from his post asking for substantial redundancy payments.
 

In case of goodbye, it’s likely the nerazzurri will point to an interin manager for one season with a view to tempting current Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone, back to his old stomping ground. In this case the ideal solution could well be former Milan boss Leonardo, who would be willing to spend a season in charge of team affairs before becoming a director at the club. The alternative could be Dutchman Frank de Boer, former Italian Head Coach Cesare Prandelli or even Marcelo Bielsa. Beyond these candidates we could also insert Andre Villas-Boas, Walter Zenga and Fabio Capello
