Inter, no Rudi Garcia. He goes to Marseille; with Sabatini?
The new Olympique Marseille, under new owner Frank McCourt begins to take shape. The first appointment will be that of a new coach and despite recent reports that he has declined the offer, former Roma coach Rudi Garcia looks set to be the new man in charge and is already negotiating his severance package to free him from his contract with the giallorossi.
McCourt is also searching for a new Sporting Directoe and according to L’Equipe. The man in pole-position is Damien Comolli, formerly involved with both Liverpool and Spurs and favoured ahead of Monchi of Sevilla and Walter Sabatini, who has just parted company with Roma.
Sabatini of course, worked alongside Garcia in the Italian capital and made some excellent signings in the Frenchman’s first season in charge of the club. Whether the two will be set to re-unite at the French giant’s remains to be seen but Garcia looks to be getting ever closer to one of the hottest hot-seats in European football.
