    Inter, Murillo rejects Zenit move

Inter and Zenit Saint Petersburg are working to finalize a player plus cash swap deal. The nerazzurri want Ezequiel Garay, Zenit have set sights on Jeison Murillo.

Zenit would offer the Argentinean centre-back plus cash for the Colombian defender, trouble is Murillo doesn’t want to move to the Russian league.

The former Granada man has informed Inter that he doesn’t want to leave the club and if he was forced to do so, he would only move to a big European club. Arsenal and Chelsea are believed to be monitoring the player’s situation, whilst Bayern Munich could also make an attempt in the next few days given that Medhi Benatia is heading to Juventus.

Zenit will try to tempt the 24-year-old centre back with a € 3.5 million, three-year-deal, but money is not the problem for Murillo who wants to play in a competitive league and is not going to accept the Russian club’s offer.

Murillo joined Inter from Granada for a fee of € 8 million last summer. He played 35 games with the nerazzurri last term scoring two goals and registering one assist. His defensive partnership with Miranda was among the most solid in Europe in the first part of last season.
