Inter move to seal Kessié transfer for June; Arsenal, Juve, Sevilla wait in wings
This is exactly what Inter Milan could do with regards to Franck Kessié, the Ivorian talent who has netted five goals in seven games in all competitions for the Orobici so far.
Speaking to local paper L’Eco di Bergamo, Atalanta’s owner, Antonio Percassi, hinted that he wasn’t against selling the 19-year-old next summer to finance further acquisitions.
“I don’t think he can leave Bergamo in January. After that who knows, but I see him staying with Atalanta until June. I think that the question needs to be asked differently: the important thing is to reinforce the team, and not to avoid players. To invest to become strong: think about Turin”.
Inter have already contacted Kessié’s entourage, but director of sport Ausilio could be tempted by Percassi’s words to try to ‘book’ the Ivorian in advance for next summer, something Juventus have often done, too.
The Nerazzurri will have to hurry, with the Bianconeri, Arsenal and Sevilla also in the race.
