Inter: Melo won't join. AC Milan: swap with Zenit?

Inter Milan keep on seeking a midfielder, and, as reported in the last days, one of their main targets for such position is Galatasaray 32-year-old Felipe Melo: interviewed by FcInterNews, Jose Rodriguez Baster, agent of the former Juventus player, has confirmed that his client is on the nerazzurri’s radar, but that he’s about to join Cruzeiro. Another priority for the Lombard club is reinforcing its team’s offensive line, and, as outlined by calciomercato.com, keep on observing the situation of three players, Wolfsburg 26-year-old Ivan Perisic, Manchester City 26-year-old Stevan Jovetic and Chelsea 23-year-old Mohamed Salah: this latter seems to be Roberto Mancini’s favorite option, but his situation remains extremely complicated, so Inter have already found an agreement with the Montenegro international, even though the Citizens’ request remains quite high; meanwhile, the nerazzurri  -as revealed by calciomercato.com- have overtaken Serie A defending champions Juventus in the hunt for Cremonese 18-year-old Rey Manaj. The Lombard club keeps also on working to sell some of its current players, like 23-year-old attacking midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri: according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Everton have joined Schalke 04 and Hoffenheim in the hunt for the Switzerland international.
Also city rivals AC Milan are seeking a midfielder, and, as well known, are interested in Zenit St. Petersburg 26-year-old Axel Witsel: considering the high request of the Russian club for the former Benfica player, the rossoneri could try to involve 28-year-old winger Jérémy Menez, even if the Frenchman is particularly admired by the Lombardian club’s main shareholder Silvio Berlusconi.
