Inter & Juve resume their battle for Luis Gustavo
A new battleground is being drawn up between Inter and Juventus as we approach the January transfer window. Nerazzurri Sporting Director Ausilio and bianconeri CEO Marotta are readying their troops for the new year to reinforce their respective squads.
One of the players that remain in the viewfinder for both clubs is Wolfsburg midfielder Luis Gustavo. With his current employers perilously close to the relegation zone in the Bundesliga, the 29-year-old Brazilian may finally cut his ties with the club in January. Also, the fact that he has a European Community passport means he’s free to go wherever he desires.
The two Italian giants have already clashed over the player last summer and Gustavo himself told German magazine Kicker that; “There was a request from Inter and another from Juve just two days before the closing of the market. I said that I wanted to do something different, but in the end I decided to remain in Germany. This is the most difficult moment of my career. The problem is not the physical condition, but sometimes we make mistakes that should not happen".
