Inter have closed out their most important deal of the summer after finally capturing the signature of Portuguese midfielder Joao Mario. After the 23-year-old completed his €45 million move, he told Mediaset Premium that; “It was an important decision and I’m happy to be here. I hop I can help the team achieve its objectives”. When it was put to him that he was the second most expensive player in the clubs history he replied; “It’s a great responsibility but not something I will think about. I just want to help the team qualify for the Champions League”.  

“Scudetto? We can dream and work towards it but we must take it step by step. First we must qualify for the Champions League”.
 

Speaking to Sky Sport, Joao Mario explained that; “I’m impressed with the welcome from the fans. We have a great team and I want to start as soon as possible. I will train hard with the group and I hope to be in the team against Pescara”.
