Inter: Guarin's revenge. AC Milan: Mihajlovic at risk?
During the last transfer window, there have been many rumors regarding the possibility for 29-year-old midfielder Fredy Guarin to quit Inter Milan: the nerazzurri’s coach Roberto Mancini has finally asked his executives not to sell the Colombia international, and it seems that the former Manchester City manager was right, as the South American has been one of the best players of the Lombardian team during this first part of the season, and, most of all, has scored the goal that decided last night’s clash against city rival AC Milan, a victory that Inter’s fans had been waiting for three and a half years. Another bet won by Mancini could be 32-year-old midfielder Felipe Melo: required by his former coach at Galatasaray, the Brazilian has arrived at “San Siro” in the last hours of the transfer market, and has proven to be the tenacious and strong midfielder admired when he was playing for Fiorentina; Melo has immediately taken his revenge against his former coach at Juventus Ciro Ferrara, and has assured to be ready to lead the nerazzurri to the winning of their 19th Serie A title. By the way, AC Milan’s performance was quite good, and, as outlined by the Corriere della Sera, their first team’s coach Sinisa Mihajlovic doesn’t risk to be fired, even though –considering the fact that last night’s was the rossoneri’s second loss out of three games- his position remains a bit weak.
