Inter eye Viola trio
Inter will take on Fiorentina this Saturday and this will be the perfect opportunity for the Nerazzurri to check out three potential targets: Riccardo Montolivo, Juan Manuel Vargas and Stevan Jovetic.
In the past, Fiorentina and Inter have agreed on important deals with Daniel Passarella, Nicola Berti and Francesco Toldo all moving to San Siro.
But since Calciopoli, the relationship between the two clubs has been so how unfriendly with Presidents Massimo Moratti and Andrea Della Valle becoming ‘enemies’. Inter and Fiorentina are also competing on the transfer market for the signing of Partizan starlet Lazar Markovic.
While Fiorentina are unwilling to sell Jovetic in Italy (the Montenegrin could eventually move to a Premier League club), they are happy to consider offers for Vargas. But the Peruvian wing-back has a 10M transfer fee and Inter will not agree to pay that kind of money.
For Montolivo instead, Fiorentina have little to say as the midfielder will be free in June and is already considering offers from Juventus and Milan. But Inter could persuade him to become a Nerazzurro.
