Inter eye Rolando and Boufal as Simeone keeps tabs on Mauro Icardi
According to gianlucadimarzio.com, representatives from the club attended the Ligue 1 game between Marseille and Lille OSC yesterday to keep an eye on former Porto full-back Rolando.
Marseille, by the way, don’t want to lose their central defender in January window, in turn it seems highly unlikely to see Rolando wearing the Nerazzurri shirt for the second time in his career after a six-months spell at San Siro in the 2013-2014 campaign.
During the same game, the Italian club scouts were left impressed by Sofiane Boufal, a 22-year-old winger playing for Lille OSC who is also tracked by PSG. Scorer of six goals in the current campaign, Inter could make an offer to sign him at the end of the current season.
In the meanwhile, Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has not lost any interest in Mauro Icardi.
FIFA have temporary lifted the Colchoneros’ (and Real Madrid’s) transfer ban, so that both La Liga sides will be able to register new signing next summer.
The Argentinean striker would be perfect to replace Jackson Martinez who has been a huge disappointment at the Calderon this season, but it could also be a plausible option for Chelsea, in case Abramovich would choose Simeone as the next Blues manager.
