Inter: a look to Germany for Handanovic's successor
According to reports from Tuttosport, Inter have already identified the successor to goalkeeper Samir Handanovic. The journal states that the man in the mirror is 24-year-old Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
The player has already been attracting interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs with Liverpool being heavily linked with a move over the summer. Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is a long-time admirer and may use his strong links back in his homeland to try to convince the Bundesliga club to part with their highly-rated shot-stopper to replace the unpredictable Simon Mignolet.
Inter however, have now entered the race and it’s believed their German scouting team will be putting the German international under severe scrutiny in the coming months. Leno has been at Leverkusen since 2011 and has already made 171 appearances for the club. He has now broken into Joachim Loew’s German national team, where he has made a couple of appearances.
