Ibrahimovic: "At the end of Euro 2016 I will say goodbye to the national team"
On the eve of his country’s final group game at Euro 2016 against Belgium, Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic told a press conference that he will retire from international football when his team is eliminated from the competition. He announced that; “The last game of this championship will be my last for Sweden so I hope it won’t be tomorrow. I am proud of what I have achieved with my country”.
When asked if he would consider carrying on into the Rio Olympics he replied; “I don’t want to play in the Olympic Games, after Euro 2016 I will retire”.
