Hummels: ‘leaving BVB for Bayern not easy decision’

Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels has released an interview with the club’s official website to explain his decision to join Bayern Munich in the summer.

“I want to say that deciding to leave Borussia Dortmund after eight years and a half was nothing easy. I’ve been always proud to be wearing this shirt and be part of this extraordinary team.”

“Before moving back to my hometown in the summer, we have a chance to win the Germany Cup and celebrate with our fans. That’s why I’ll give my best alongside my teammates.”

“I also want to thank all my teammates, the staff and everyone at the club for the amazing time I spent in black and yellow.”
