How Memphis Depay leaving Man United could steer Juan Iturbe to Lyon

How Memphis Depay leaving Man United could steer Juan Iturbe to Lyon

The Corriere dello Sport (via Maxifoot) believe that Lyon are back in the race for Roma flop Juan Iturbe - and that the Paraguayan’s future depends a lot on whether Memphis Depay ever comes to Serie A.

With the Dutchman unlikely to join another Premier League club (Everton) because of Jose Mourinho’s unwillingness to get bitten by one of his own snakes (Mirror link), it appears that the Red Devils’ reject could head overseas, and both Roma and Juventus want him.

Marseille are also in the race, but it looks like the Serie A teams are more appealing… and if the 22-year-old were to join Roma, he could free the way for Juan Iturbe to make his way out of the Italian capital.

The Corriere dello Sport claims that Roma aren’t willing to part with the former Bournemouth disappointment, especially with the African Cup of Nations round the corner, enough to draft Mohamed Salah away for 2-3 weeks.

    Were Depay to arrive, however..
