Higuain to Juventus: today is deadline day if De Laurentiis wants a player plus cash deal

Today is another crucial day for the transfer of Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus. In fact, today is the expiry of the ultimatum given by Marotta to De Laurentiis, to include a possible player (Zaza, Rugani, Neto, Pereyra or Sturaro) in the deal to bring Pipita to Turin. So far, the Napoli patron has always maintained he only wants money for the 28-year-old Argentine, so Juventus is ready to pay €90 million in two instalments of €45 million. The player himself is still in Madrid with his brother and agent Nicolas but in the next 48 hours they are expected in Turin to sign a four-year contract worth €7.5 million net per season before Gonzalo begins training next week.

Meanwhile, Napoli is still hunting the heir to Pipita. Yesterday De Laurentiis met the wife and agent of Icardi Wanda Nara, offering a contract from 10 million net per year (bonuses and image rights including) with a €100 million buy-out clause. The vesuviani may also try to convince Inter by relaunching a bid of up to €60 million.
