Higuain, a phantom at the San Siro
The Argentinean’s performance against AC Milan, however, was way too por. Not only he couldn’t manage to score for the third successive game this season, but his impact on the game was pretty much impalpable.
He was everywhere in the pitch against Lyon, he appeared to be somewhere else yesterday night.
A phantom, or something very similar to it. Left alone by Cuadrado up front, Higuain’s performance did not improve when Mandzukic entered the pitch either.
Yesterday’s game was the worst Higuain has played for Juventus so far. The Old Lady has lost two games this season, both at the San Siro. The Argentinean was absent in the first one against Inter because Allegri had left him on the bench, but yesterday’s absence was only due to his poor performance.
Three successive games without a goal are not too much for an average player, but are definitely a very disappointing average for a player like Hugian.
