Hernanes: ‘I would have booed me too’

Massimiliano Allegri ‘defended’ Hernanes on a pre-match press conference on Tuesday evening, asking all the bianconeri fans to stop booing the Brazilian midfielder.

The Italian tactician started the former Inter ace against newly promoted Serie A side Cagliari yesterday and the Brazilian put down a pretty good performance with Juventus that trashed 4-0 the rossoblu.

Juventus fans had always booed Hernanes before yesterday’s game, but the Brazilian did not seem too worried for his relationship with fans or, at least, that’s what he has told Mediaset Premium.

“If I were a fan, I’d have booed me too. Expectations are high and we can make no mistakes.”

“We knew we had to snatch the three points because we were playing at home. Allegri had asked us to react, close all the spaces for them and attack all the times. No doubt that’s the best team I’ve ever played for.”
