Handanovic the difference-maker
Conceding only 7 goals in 11 games is a brilliant start to the Serie A campaign for Samir Handanovic. If you consider that four of them came in the same game, the Slovenian international is down to just three goals let in in ten games, a breath of fresh air compared to last season.
Having shipped in 48 goals in 2014-2015, the Nerazzurri now boast the best defence in Serie A, thanks to the centre-back pairing of Miranda and Jeison Murillo, not to mention midfielders Felipe Melo and Gary Medel.
Twenty-two games into Roma's Serie A scoring streak, Samir Handanovic set a seasonal record with a stunning 9 saves, whilst also touching the ball a team-high 56 times.
Inter's weekend victory was also their sicth 1-0 win of the season. Why score when Samir Handanovic is making saves and the defence is playing a blinder? Either way, whether the Slovenian plays well or badly, he's always a key factor.
