Guarin: 'Why I left Inter'
Former Inter midfielder / Row Z sniper Fredy Guarin has come with his reasons for leaving the San Siro for, er, the richer shores of Jiangsu Suning.
"He brought me here!" Fredy Guarin told his interviewers, pointing at fellow Cafetero and close friend Gio Moreno.
"I wanted a change from Serie A," he told Marca, "a new adventure in my life, and in my career, and that's why I chose this team, because my friend Gio has been here for three and a half years. And the city has been really welcoming!".
Asked about whether he thinks that his latest career choice could preclude him from earning further call-ups from Colombia, the former Porto midfield dynamo seemed confident.
"Time will tell! What matters the most is how you work. I'll be at a level that is enough to earn a call-up".

Asked about joining the likes of Gervinho, Ramires, Jackson Martinez and Alex Teixeira, Guarin was effusive about the supposed quality of the Chinese Premier League.
"I was attracted by the fact that it's a very competitive league, that is recruiting some high-calibre players, and can grow quickly. I've not been to China yet, I've been with the squad two weeks, but I'm proud that so many important European players are joining. More will come".
