Griezmann gives hope to Manchester United

According to the Independent, the fact that French international striker Antoine Griezmann has parted from his agent could give hope to Manchester United officials about a possible summer move. The 25-year-old has took the unique move of deciding to represent himself fuelling speculation that his future at Spanish giants Atletico Madrid could be coming to an end.

After bursting onto the scene during his time in the Spanish capital, Griezmann was one of the hottest names on last summers transfer market but claimed that he wanted to remain loyal to his current boss Diego Simeone. The player told French Sports daily L'Equipe that; "From now I'm going to operate without an agent. But I will always have the advice of my father and also my mentor, Eric Olhats."

Olhats was the Real Sociedad scout who discovered Griezmann whilst he was playing in a youth tournament in Montpellier and the Red Devils will now feel that they have a much better chance in landing one of European football's hottest properties.
