City rivals Genoa and Sampdoria are both looking to strengthen their attacking force in January.

The Rossoblu desperately need a striker to partner Rodrigo Palacio up front given that Andrea Caracciolo has already failed to live up to expectations.

According to Radio Blu, Caracciolo will join Novara on loan giving Genoa the chance to land long-time target Alberto Gilardino from Fiorentina. The Rossoblu are also following Maxi Lopez from Catania.

Meanwhile, the Blucerchiati are after Lazio striker Libor Kozak, who could move to Marassi on loan.

“If the Bianconcelesti get knocked out in Europe, then we will talk about it,” said Doria director Pasquale Sensibile.

“However, if they were to qualify, and we will find out about that this week, then they would need Kozak and there would no chance for us to sign him,” he concluded.
