While Genoa President Enrico Preziosi claims Alberto Gilardino would be a fantastic addition to his squad, the player’s agent insists he has received no offer.

Preziosi told Sky Sport 24: “Marco Borriello will join Juventus so that leaves us with either Gilardino or Amauri. I don’t know who to pick between the two, because it would be like picking between two beautiful cars. But I hope one of them will join us”.

Agent Beppe Bozzo denied any negotiation: “I wished Preziosi a merry Christmas but we didn’t talk about Gila because he is tied to Fiorentina until 2013”.

“The Viola didn’t mention anything so perhaps if Preziosi is so persistent it means he had a word with them,” concluded Bozzo.
