Genoa have given an update on the injury to striker Leonardo Pavoletti. The rossoblu have confirmed that the 27-year-old has suffered some ligament damage to his left knee. The player is set to be sidelined for the next three to four weeks.
 

Pavoletti will certainly miss the club’s next three league games against Juventus, Chievo and Inter and the Coppa Italia tie against Perugia on December 1. It’s possible he could make his return on December 15 in the rescheduled match against Fiorentina, which fell victim to the weather in September.
 

It’s been an unfortunate start to the new campaign for the man for Livorno, who has already missed games after picking up a muscular injury against Napoli in mid-September. His physical condition could have huge implications on the January transfer window with Napoli still contemplating a possible move. This latest setback could now force the vesuviani to look elsewhere.
