Gabigol: 'Moving to Inter is a dream come true'
The 20-year-old Brazilian prodigy landed at Malpensa Airport six days ago to a delirious reception, and the Selecao call-up seemed genuine in returning the favour: “Becoming an Inter player on the day of my 20th birthday is a magnificent present,” Gabigol told the club’s official website.
“It feels great to be a part of a franchise that has made history.
I’ve already had a taste of the fans’ passion and I can’t wait to play in front of them at the San Siro. It’s a dream come true”.
Gabigol is just the latest of a raft of additions at the San Siro: the Brazilian joined the club at the same time as Joao Mario, and in a summer in which the likes of Ever Banega, Antonio Candreva and Christian Ansaldi have also landed in Milan.
The former Santos talent will arrive in Milan after Brazil’s twin World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Colombia, and will be available for selection ahead of Inter’s home game against Bologna on Sunday, September 25th.
