FOCUS: Inter sprint for Gabigol, but Juve are still there

As reported in the last days, Inter Milan are keen on Santos striker Gabigol. The Brazilian club’s president Modesto Roma told the Corriere dello Sport: ‘We received no official offers from Inter, the only one we have comes from Juventus. Is Turin his most probable destination? No, because the bianconeri don’t offer enough. Are Inter really interested? I don’t know, I read about it on the newspapers.”

Why Inter made no offers? Because they know that there is a clause that allows to obtain Santos’ 40% of the player ownership by paying €18 million. It’s also very important that Roma outlined that Juve’s offer is unsufficient: it means that the Serie A defending champions have offered less than €18 million.
Meanwhile, the Lombard club’s director of sports Piero Ausilio has returned to Milan after his trip to Brazil, and he is waiting for an answer from the player’s family. The nerazzurri have made a better offer, but Juve are not out of the picture yet, especially if they will sell Zaza.
