From Spain: Milan linked with Aleix Vidal
Reports from Spain suggest Milan are monitoring Barcelona’s versatile midfielder Aleix Vidal. Mundo Deportivo states that intermediaries from the rossoneri have made contact with Promosport, who look after the player’s interests, to ascertain if there is a chance of a possible switch to Italy. The journal also states that there has been a telephone conversation between Galliani and Braida and new talks are planned in the coming weeks.
His current deal with the Catalan side expires in 2020 but with limited first-team opportunities this season, it seems the 26-year-old is searching for a new club next year. Having been unable to play for the club until January due to the transfer embargo placed on them last summer, Vidal has made only 14 appearances in all competitions and now he seems surplus to requirements at the Camp Nou. Milan would be unable to table a €17 million bid which is what Barcelona paid Sevilla last year, the rossoneri would be looking to take him on an initial loan deal.
