From Joao Mario to Gabriel Jesus: Is Suning’s Inter project fragmenting already?
Inter are one of those clubs. The arrivals of Banega, Erkin and Ansaldi are a very good starting point, but still not enough to fill ht gap with the Old Lady who aims at her sixth Serie A title in a row.
Suning Group completed the club’s takeover more than a month ago. On their very first day in charge they announced their interest in Gabriel Jesus. Calciomercato.com had also exclusively learned that the Brazilian starlet had agreed to move to Inter, but that all the big clubs around Europe were still in race.
Today, Gabriel Jesus seems very close to move to Manchester City that have offered € 32 million for the most exciting prospect of South American football.
Joao Mario was also a target, though Inter could only sign him via Jiangsu Suning and then loan the Portugal International from the Chinese club in order to respect FFP rules. The Chinese transfer window shut down last week with Sporting CP refusing Suning’s bid for Joao Mario and with Inter that had missed out on another key summer target.
Domenico Berardi and Antonio Candreva are two more big names who have been linked with a move to the San Siro. Sassuolo have put negotiations on hold, but the neroverdi would prefer to keep the player for one more season.
Candreva has an agreement with Inter, but the nerazzurri’s € 20 million bid is still not enough as Claudio Lotito asks € 25 million despite Suning doesn’t want to raise its offer for a player who will turn 30 next February.
Meantime Mancini has admitted that Yaya is not going to join the club and Inter fans are still waiting for one big name to sign for the nerazzurri in order to make strong start in chase for Juventus.
