From England: PSG pounce on Rooney

Wayne Rooney and Manchester United could part ways in the winter transfer window as the England captain is not getting regular game time at the Old Trafford and manager José Mourinho is said to have already suggested the Englishman to start looking for a new team if he wants to have a spot as a regular starter.

Rooney, who turned 31 last Monday, is on a £ 13 million-a-year deal at Manchester United and there aren’t too many clubs around Europe that can afford his salary.

PSG, however, are one of those clubs and according to a report of The Sun, the French side are interested in signing Rooney in the January window.

The Ligue1 giants have been tracking Rooney since last summer, but no concrete offers were made at the time. Now that Rooney could be looking for an escape from the Old Trafford, PSG could place the decisive bid for the English striker.
