    Former France PM Nicolas Sarkozy could replace Al-Khelaifi as PSG president

    Former France PM Nicolas Sarkozy could replace Nasser Al-Khelaifi as PSG president, the French edition of GQ Magazine reports.

    According to the report coming from France, the club’s owner Cheikh Hamad Khalifa Al Thani has decided to remove Al-Khelaifi as club’s president and the former France PM tops the list of potential replacements.

    ​According to Arab sources, Al Thani wants to replace Al-Khelaifi since last summer and he believes that the right time has now come to change the president’s number one.

    Al Thani also imposed the sacking of Laurent Blanc last summer and wants to axe another big personality in the club now. The club’s owner believes that PSG need to be reorganized and has already make contact with the former France PM.

    A decision over the future president of PSG will be taken by the Christmas break and the possible president’s switch is only going to be announced at the beginning of the 2017/18 campaign.
