Giampiero Ventura has massive managerial skills. Among the Torino’s boss best qualities, there is the undeniable capacity of growing young prospects into great players.

It is a matter of fact that Alessio Cerci could only express his see-sawing talent when Vantura was his trainer and that Ciro Immobile become under him the 2013-2014 Serie A top-scorer, before moving to the Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.

Ventura has been a mentor to current AC Milan and Seville strikers, but also players like Manchester United's Matteo Darmian or the Poland International Kamil Glik could befefit from the trainer's precious reccomendations.

The 67 year old doesn’t seem to have lost any sleep over the departure of former captain Matteo Darmian last summer as the club invested the profits on three of the brightest Italian talents: Daniele Baselli, Davide Zappacosta and Andrea Belotti.

Ventura’s hope is adding another player in the list of young Italian talents at his disposal. According to the Portuguese newspaper A Bola,  the Granata pounced on Bryan Cristante, a product of the AC Milan academy who left San Siro last year to join the Portuguese giants Benfica on a € 6 million deal.

Despite Cristante has racked up 15 seasonal appearances last term, this year he failed to play one single minute in any competition and the challenge of a Serie A comeback could tempt the 20 year old midfielder to join Torino the next January.

The player’s profile is just perfect for a gaffer with the skills that Ventura displayed throughout his career. If confirmed, Cristante would be just  the umpteenth good investment of Torino in the last few years.
